Job Description |
|
|
- The Communications Manager is responsible for providing timely production and distribution of electronic media in support of the Office of the President and for communicating with the Conservancy’s internal audiences.
- S/he serves as the managing editor for the Conservancy’s internal communications channels, which includes the responsibility for the overall look-and-feel of weekly internal electronic newsletter and other key communications tools.
- S/he will oversee an editorial calendar and develop and write a wide variety of editorial content.
- The Manager is responsible for improving existing communication channels to ensure audience penetration and suggests new, innovative approaches utilizing new communication tools and methods, such as video, blogs, and slideshows.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication or related field.
- Six years writing experience preferably in a weekly deadline-focused online environment.
- Strong familiarity with developing content for the Web, blogs, message boards and intranets.
- Ability to shoot and edit video for Web use.
- Ability to become proficient in key Web applications, such as those listed above.
- Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret data.
