• As Deputy Chief of Party, you will manage all designated activities and, with the COP, set program direction, approaches, and relationships with state and local governments and other partners.
  
• You will integrate project activities into a single strategic approach and assist the COP in providing oversight and technical direction to the project.
  
• You will oversee the work of the technical leadership staff, as delegated, and ensure that the work of each technical area is coordinated at all levels, from State to community level.
• You will also ensure that technical workplans are linked so that the monitoring and evaluation plans are integrated.
  
• Along with the COP, you will serve as a technical liaison between the Project and other donors and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• PhD or DrPH in science, public health, or equivalent field with at least 10 years experience working on international projects.
  
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple partners on collaborative projects.
  
• Demonstrated experience in managing staff and decentralized branch/field offices, assessing priorities, managing activities in a time-sensitive environment, and meeting deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
  
• Demonstrated success in creating and maintaining effective working relations with senior Government personnel, international organizations, NGO partners, and host country governments.
  
• Previous successful experience in providing technical assistance to a developing country Ministry of Health, preferably in India.
  
• Exceptional managerial and operational experience in managing activities of similar magnitude and complexity involving coordination and collaboration with multiple partners.
