 Job Description
 
  • ForestEthics is currently seeking an energetic and creative Climate Director to lead our Climate Program in Canada.
  • As a key member of the ForestEthics senior management team, you will be part of leading an exciting, results-driven organization with a strong track record.
  • As an inspiring leader, you will develop, implement and administer the Climate Program vision and plan; communicate your work to internal and external audiences.
  • Provide leadership and manage staff; and build relationships with industry, businesses, allied organizations, governments and key opinion leaders.
  • You will develop and implement strategic communication plans with our communications team and act as the programs media spokesperson when required.
  • You will also be a creative participant in the development of fundraising plans, including proposal development, program reports, and updates for external funders.
 Candidate Profile
 

Qualifications:

  • At least eight years of relevant work experience such as environmental campaigning, organizing, politics, advocacy or media, with demonstrated tangible results
  • Working knowledge of climate change and energy issues, Post Secondary degree preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management, tme management and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be extremely well organized, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
