 Job Description
 
  • Lead the advancement and application of new technologies to achieve scale, impact and sustainability in youth development programming.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of new institutional initiatives using mobile technology.
  • Build and manage an internal technology task force and work in coordination with the Partner Network to assess current programs and explore opportunities for the use of technology including mobile technologies with the specific goal to improve program outcomes, take programs to scale, and/or increase efficiencies.
  • Work in collaboration with the Business Development Department to develop and pitch new program ideas to current and prospective donors that effectively integrate/leverage innovative uses of technology.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Regularly feed this information to IYF senior management and Business Development to improve current programming and pitch new program ideas.
  • Provide visible thought leadership for the organization within the nonprofit and technology community.
 Candidate Profile
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to IYF’s mission and programs (Social Science, International Development, or Public Policy) is required. Advanced degree is preferred.
  • Supervisory and resource management experience and 5-8 years of designing and managing complex development programs that utilize some aspect of technology (web, mobile, new media, etc).
  • Ability to advocate and liaise with a variety of donors (corporations, multi- and bi-lateral agencies), in particular USAID.
  • Analytical ability to identify and establish priorities, and attend to all details in a professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills appropriate for operating effectively in a multicultural, international environment.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills. Fluency in a second language is preferred.
