Job Description |
|
|
Ensure timely and flawless processing of state office expenses and take custody of vouchers of state office
- Safe keeping of vouchers and other records as per Save the Children guidelines, Review and advise SPM every month on the SUN generated state reports
- Review and feedback every quarter to SPM on state and partners’ finance utilisation against approved annual budgets.
- Orient staff from time to time on finance principles, budget coding and expense settlements.
- Follow and ensure strict yet effective procurement procedures in accordance with Save the Children procurement policy both in state office and in projects with partners
Timely processing and disbursement of funds to partners for programmes.
- Set up and maintain a clear grant management cycle with partner organisations in accordance with Save the Children guidelines.
- Draw up and ensure accurate grant/project agreements with partners in accordance with Save the Children grant management guidelines.

Qualifications:
- M.Com / MBA/ Cost Accountant/related degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in independent.
- Excellent understanding of financial systems and procedures
- Excellent analytical skills – the ability to analyse complex financial data and design and produce effective management information.
- Excellent experience of budgeting and budget management.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to contribute to strategic decisions.
- Ability to handle computerised accounts packages, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements for major bilateral, institutional and corporate donors.
