 Job Description
 
  • Manage and attend cultivation, retention and solicitation events for PETA members and supporters throughout India, including donor-hosted events, major-donor meetings and other special events.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, including printers, mail houses, database consultants and event-related companies/consultants, Manage systems for collecting and maintaining donor information and other data.
  • Prepare a variety of reports to analyse and evaluate fundraising tools and strategies.
  • Coordinate additional event components, including auctions, entertainment, awards, handouts, gift bags and attendance.
  • Recruit volunteers and solicit in-kind contributions of goods and services for events, Cultivate and manage relationships with potential corporate partners and donors.
  • Identify, research and act as a point person for potential major donors, Develop strategies and timelines for making successful in-person solicitations and effectively managing major donor relationships.
  • Assist in the development of all creative elements of online, e-mail and direct mail fundraising campaigns, including copy, design and schedule.
 Candidate Profile
 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of fundraising experience within India, focused on major gifts and fundraising events.
  • Direct experience with online, telemarketing or direct-mail fundraising.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, vendor contracts, timelines and donor relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and use discretion in confidential matters relating to donors.
  • Ability to respond quickly to donor needs, Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and be flexible.
  • Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects, work collaboratively and foster an ongoing dialogue with multiple departments.
