• Evaluating open source transition on its current effectiveness.
  
• Suggesting and implementing ideas to improve the effectiveness and productivity of the MIA.
  
• Training and general staff support during the transition, Managing the implementation of new IT software.
  
• Providing training and support to staff as required, Supporting staff on software, hardware, and network systems.
  
• Contacting vendor and carrier support when necessary to resolve problems and/or outages.
  
• Providing continuous feedback to Director of Operations on the status and usage of IT systems.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  
• At least 2 years experience in IT management.
  
• Previous exposure to an open source environments.
  
• Advanced skills in Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux Desktops/Servers.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• A commitment to MIA’s mission and values.
