Job Description |
|
|
- Perform daily administrative server functions including back-up, recovery, disk space management, configuration, installs and upgrades: Application Support Services servers.
- Provide backup support to the Senior System Administrator / Help Desk Manager on all mission critical servers.
- Provide patch management and service pack installs on all servers.
- Provide all data backup / restore services on all servers as required.
- Provide courteous and prompt customer service in response to user requests.
- Administer termination and transfer personnel action notices.
- Assist users in resolving hardware and software problems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot client hardware and software.
- Complete custom installation and upgrades of operating system, standard word processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, and Internet software packages, as well as other packages as requested, on new workstations or replacement hardware. Transfer user data for replacement hardware.
- Upgrade operating systems and install standard word processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, and Internet software packages, as well as other packages as requested, on new or replacement notebooks. Transfer user data for replacement hardware.
- Prepare, produce, and package software update CDs (e.g., Windows, Office, McAfee, WorldTracker) for all field offices.

| Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in related field highly desirable.
- Two to four years of proven experience providing technical support or end-user support.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operations, Office, web browsers, and e-mail clients.Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Knowledge of current hardware and software packages in Windows operating system.
- Proficiency with Internet applications, especially web browsers and e-mail clients.
- Practical problem solving skills and solid trouble shooting skills.
- Ability to learn network management; and ability to learn new technology and keep abreast of the latest technological advances.
