Job Description |
|
|
- Develop and manage website content with specific focus on opportunity.org/YAO and YAO chapter sites
- Develop and manage content for the Opportunity Blog on behalf of YAO and other constituency groups.
- Support development and execution of website strategy in an effort to increase online engagement and constituency membership (YAO, Board of Governors, Women’s Opportunity Network)
- Produce online donor centric electronic communication tools including: subscription based communication, event forms, electronic invitations, and online donation forms.
- Implement social networking strategies and initiatives on sites such as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Idealist, etc. as the community coordinator for YAO. Provide feedback and analytics to increase ROI over time.
- Assist in the maintenance of the Digital Asset Library
- Support concept, development, and analysis of specific appeals (i.e. Mother’s Day, etc)
- Help develop communications plan
- Provide marketing communications with project support
- Principal web contact for Young Ambassadors for Opportunity
- Assist in the development and expansion of OptINnow.org mass market donor initiatives.

Qualifications:
- 4 year degree, preferably in marketing or journalism; marketing internship a plus
1 – 3 years of Web marketing or Web site work experience; Search Engine Optimization experience a plus
- Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, proofreading, grammar skills
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; e-mail applications; Adobe Photoshop (digital imaging), Illustrator; InDesign
- A working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, written and oral
- Self-initiating, problem solver; ability to work independently
- Flexibility in effectively redirecting attention and prioritizing tasks
- Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Interest in serving the poor, learning about microenterprise development and meeting the needs of impoverished men and women.
