Job Description |
|
|
- Organize, supervise and provide day-to-day operational support to the project in India contributing to the implementation of an effective Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) control programme.
- Attend weekly and monthly HPAI Control Programme team coordination meetings and participate in addressing outstanding operational issues.
- Ensure consistency of project operations with the overall programme objectives.
- Participate on behalf of the team leader in various meetings organized for donor coordination and assist the team leader in the preparation of project briefs;
- Assist the Team Leader in the preparation of project progress and final reportS.
- Liaise with donors on operational matters, particularly on budget revisions and progress reports.
- Lliaise with TCEO Operations Officers in the RAP and in Rome on project operational issues.
- Supervise project administrative/operations staff to ensure timely delivery of the necessary inputs and logistic support consistent with the planned project work plans, detailed field activity plans and procurement plans.

Qualifications:
- A post-graduate degree from a nationally/internationally recognized university.
- Familiar with project management in the context of emergency operations with a focus on animal health issues.
