• Manage and facilitate Make a Connection program activities, a global youth development initiative between IYF and Nokia designed to equip young people with the knowledge and skills needed to participate as active citizens.
  
• Work with IYF staff and local Partners to design new programs, in particular those with a focus on the use of mobile telephony in youth development programming and civic participation.
  
• Manage special projects and events within the Citizenship Center including, but not limited to: briefing for funders, meeting minutes, briefing papers, conferences, monthly program reports, and mailings.
  
• Communicate with donors and Partners as directed by supervisor and/or Center VP.
  
• Conduct specific research and prepare written documents as required, including providing support to the preparation of proposals.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to IYF’s mission and programs (e.g. International Development, Social Science, or Public Policy) is required. Advanced degree preferred.
  
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in program management, preferably in the international development sector.
  
• Experience with the use of technology in programming is desirable.
  
• Experience in project development, management, and providing consistent communication of progress is essential.
  
• Analytical and able to identify and establish priorities, and attend to all details in a professional manner.
  
• Ability to make sound judgments, assume responsibility, and work both collegially and independently in a fast paced environment.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills appropriate for operating effectively in a multicultural, international environment.
