 Job Description
 
  • Manage the Bugiri based team to support the implementation of current activities.
    Work closely with the organisational development support team in Kampala namely M and E, organisational development and finance teams.
  • Coordinate the GOAL activities in Bugiri in line with agreed proposals in order to achieve or exceed agreed targets.
  • Liaise with relevant local stakeholders on the development and implementation of activities.
  • Ensure that any staff required for the programme is recruited, briefed and adequately supervised and that they do not act in a manner that could bring GOAL into disrepute.
  • Monitor the performance of all staff and seconded counterparts reporting directly and supervise those responsible for managing other staff.
 Candidate Profile
 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant Programme management experience, preferably field-based in Africa.
  • Practical experience of working in partnership with local organisations.
    Experience of field based financial management and logistics management (including communication systems).
  • Good people skills, including communication, motivation and leadership.
  • Experience of working in insecure environments and managing security arrangements.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, internet and email).
  • Experience of and commitment to community based public health projects.
