 Job Description
 
  • Coordinate and provide overall strategic guidance to partner organizations on project implementation, project management and supervision of day-to-day activities.
  • Assist and advise Project Team Leader to plan, budget, monitor and report on the implementation of components interventions, coordinate and oversee implementing partners’ quality output along with different progress statements and annual progress report.
  • Ensure that the implementing partners are in line in the use of community participatory approach, Farming system approach, formation of farmers’ group and conduct mid-term and annual internal evaluation of the program.
  • Provide technical assistance to partner NGOs, with assistance from project staff, BRRI.BARI and consultants as needed, including assistance in soil sampling and soil analysis.
  • Monitor field performance of project activities as per log-frame and report as and when needed.
  • Provide guidance to administrative, procurement and financial management of the project.
  • Maintain records of all project input and outputs with assistance from appropriate project staff.
  • Organize meetings, workshops, etc, conferences, training courses.
 Candidate Profile
 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum qualification should be Post graduate degree, preferably a PhD, in agronomy, soil science or farming systems, rural development, extension or related field.
  • Publications in national and international journals will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience as a team leader or in a key responsible position in agriculture, technology transfer,rural development or related projects is essential.
  • Experiences in community participatory, farming systems oriented work will be highly valued.
  • The Project coordinator should possess strong and proven capability of project management,planning and supervisory skills,communication,team building and computing skills and be fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a multicultural work environment will be needed.
