Job Description


Functional Summary

The position holder will have the overall responsibility for Human Resource management at CCF-India and will develop and implement HR strategies in alignment with those of the CCF International Office.

Areas of responsibility

• Translating the organization strategy and goals to an HR strategy and providing leadership for HR management, related learning & development
• Developing, executing and evaluating HR policies & instruments and providing strategic HR advice and recommendations
• Leading and coordinating the implementation of a comprehensive package of HR practices that support the global strategy and are in line with CCF’s core values
• Facilitating the process of transition to the new program approach by designing broad cultural & professional change directions and identifying the most suitable HR strategies
• Managing ongoing and continuous analysis of HR requirements during the transition taking into account relevant internal and external trends
• Providing strategic advice and innovative solutions to departments and Zonal/Area Offices on handling issues related to the implementation of HR policies
• Coordinating and facilitating processes that support transitional changes focusing on building management skills, awareness and aptitudes required
• Managing general HR practices such as recruitment, staffing, performance management system, staff orientation, development and training, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, welfare, employee services and counseling, proper maintenance of all personnel and HR related documents, labour law and other regulatory policy compliances
• Managing and coordinating organizational grievance system and disciplinary proceedings
• Development of a framework for minimum standards for project level HR policies for partners
• Ensuring that all contractual services (staffing, consultancies and other services) presented for National Director’s approval are in compliance with Local Labor Laws and organizational HR policy
• Supporting finance in preparation of monthly payroll, ensuring maintenance of updated information on staff salaries, allowances and income-tax calculations and ensuring compliance with current laws and regulations
• Advising the National Director on appropriate actions for prevention and response to any legal issue arising out of CCF work and employment
• Building networks and partnerships with other similar organizations to keep abreast of HR best practices
• Providing HR support in recruitment, selection, formulating staff policies for emergencies/ relief works, etc.
• Ensuring that all policies and their implementation address equal opportunity issues, with particular reference to gender and diversity.

Candidate Profile


• PG degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development, Law, Economics, Development Economics or other related area.
• At least eight years progressive job related experience, with at least three years in a managerial role, preferably with international organizations.
