Job Description

Business Identification and Pursuit To contribute to the identification of new business opportunities across India. To lead in developing, authoring and quality review of contract proposals. To develop, negotiate and manage contracts.

§          Business identification and development consistent with Project English purpose, outcomes and business context.

§          Appropriate target audiences are clearly identified, and relevant projects developed to engage with them.
Feedback from clients and other stakeholders is uniformly positive

Networks & Relationship building
To develop and maintain effective working  relationships and profile with members of key target groups to ensure the British Council builds enduring partnerships and networks

§ Regular effective interaction and engagement with agreed target groups is appropriate and delivers strengthened relationships

§ Feedback from partners is positive
Business plans include appropriate steps to strengthen business relationships

Contract Management:

To manage the implementation and delivery of all local and regional corporate consultancy and training contracts.

To be responsible for identifying, procuring and managing internal and external resources for specific contracts

To design and manage inter-related input plans, costings, schedules, revenue forecasts and work breakdown structures.
To identify, manage and report on risks surrounding the delivery of the portfolio of contracts.

Candidate Profile

Focuses on the longer term

Constantly reviews own and departmental objectives to ensure they support the Council's long-term Strategic Objectives and makes changes or challenges if they do not. Makes complex ideas, issues and situations clear and understandable, and can relate these to the wider context of the Council. Builds diversity issues into strategic planning

Compensation approximately 9.6 Lakhs p.a.
