I am a registered clinical psychologist focused on the support and psychosocial development of children and other young people. I obtained my PhD from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, exploring discursive constructions of mental health, more specifically how young boys diagnosed with ADHD understand and manage their condition.
My clinical experience includes work within the public health sector, as well as maintenance of a small private psychology practice. I have over six years of lecturing experience in private and public tertiary institutes, which including facilitation and evaluation of various applied and theoretical psychology subjects. My formal research experience relates to youth risk and resilience, gender and identity, HIV and AIDS, and sex education.
