Job Description

Early Years Lunch Assistant (15 hours a week, Monday to Friday 11.30am to 2.30pm)

We are looking to appoint a Early Years Lunch assistant to cover our Nursery practitioner lunch breaks. The successful applicant will have some experience of caring for children and have a genuine interest in meeting their needs. Your role will be to work alongside the nursery practitioners to care for the children during the lunch period, ensuring it is a positive, social experience. You will be expected to work alongside another lunchtime assistant to maintain high standards of health and hygiene in our kitchen. A level 2 qualification in childcare and/or food hygiene qualification is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will need to be subject to a background disclosure check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (formally CRB) before any appointment can be confirmed.

  • Salary: £14,229 p.a. plus £1,650 hot spot allowance - prorated to £6,616
