WE seeks a National Accounts Manager to join its Business Development Team. The Manager of National Accounts leads the Business Development efforts to prospect and engage national and multi-market partners.
This individual must be passionate and committed to the core beliefs of the organization—the WE.org Philosophy.
The position is based out of WE’s office in Toronto (233 Carlton Street).
Builds ongoing prospect lists to establish long-term business partnerships through internal and external information sources
Accountability within a complex multi-million dollar matrix with the responsibility to help develop and implement the national account strategies to achieve these targets
Works with Strategy team for prospect clearance and partnership research
Makes contact with the appropriate executives and decision makers within the potential partner's organization to pitch and secure new national account agreements.
Works with Strategy team to develop customized boardroom-type presentations
Works in partnership with WE Executive to engage, present proposals and negotiate with potential partners.
Works with WE legal counsel to negotiate long-term contracts that address the critical areas of our fundraising model while ensuring terms and conditions that will minimize organizational risk.
Works with Sponsorship Activation team and Partner Relations team to develop comprehensive proposals that result in the timely and successful partnership onboarding
Tracks partner engagement from prospecting to close in CRM system including detailed call notes and progress updates
Maintains ongoing knowledge of industry trends and competitive environment.
Reporting and Relationships:
This position will reside within the WE Charity Business Development Team, and will also work closely with the Sponsorship Activation and Partner Relations teams
The National Account Manager, Business Development, WE Charity will report directly to the Head, Global Business Development, WE Charity
This position will work closely and collaborate with various Directors on the Development team
What you bring:
Proven track record in fundraising, sponsorship, sales, or corporate partnerships (Minimum 4 yrs. experience)
Possess a degree/qualification, preferably in business administration, or a related field with a minimum of four years working experience
Ability to travel >50% of the time
Ability to work closely with high level sponsors and corporate partners with the highest level of professionalism
Highly self – motivated and independent, a strategic thinker
Excellent time management, organization and multi-tasking skills
Strong oral communication and presentation skills
Detail oriented with strong attention to effective task completion
Enjoys working in a demanding, fast paced work environment and flexible with work hours
Able to perform well and problem solve in high stress, dynamic and changing situations
Flexible and adaptable to change
Positive and professional attitude and able to work as a team player
Sound understanding of and experience working with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience working with Salesforce
Written and spoken Fluency in English required, Fluency in French is beneficial but not required
