Job Description

The Opportunity

As we start the implementation of our new global strategy, we are recruiting a MEAL Advisor for our London office on a 1 year fixed term contract, with the strong likelihood of extension.

In this role you will support world-class Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems and practice across our International Programs, and be a key member of our Global Impact team supporting the roll out of integrated MEAL approaches across the organisation. We believe that we will achieve the most impact for children by innovating, and using evidence to help continually improve the quality of our programming for children.

In order to be successful you will bring:

  • Substantial Monitoring and Evaluation experience, including working within complex matrixed organisations, and ideally within both development and emergency contexts in multiple countries
  • Strong practical experience in project/program Monitoring and Evaluation (preferably field based)
  • Knowledge and experience with a range of MEAL tools and techniques
  • Experience in strengthening the demand for data and facilitating the use of information in the decision-making process
  • Demonstrable experience in public speaking, delivering trainings and workshops

On a personal level you will have a high level of cultural awareness, highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching.

The role offers a competitive package in the context of the sector.

We also campaign and advocate at the highest levels to realise children's rights and ensure their voices are heard.

We are working towards 3 breakthroughs in how the world treats children by 2030:

  • No child dies from preventable causes before their 5th birthday
  • All children learn from a quality basic education and that,
  • Violence against children is no longer tolerated
