Oxfam’s vision is a just world without poverty: a world in which people can influence decisions that affect their lives, enjoy their rights, and assume their responsibilities as full citizens of a world in which all human beings are valued and treated equally. Oxfam in Pakistan has been working in the country since 1973. In the Pakistan, our goal is to contribute to the eradication of poverty by supporting women and other vulnerable groups in saving lives and building livelihoods, enhancing their resilience to crises, shocks and stresses, and making their voices heard to hold duty-bearers accountable.
We aim to strengthen the local governments and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to ensure the active and meaningful participation of citizens in the decision-making process especially women and other marginalized groups. This position will contribute to the improved governance, accountability and development process at local, sub-national and national levels in Pakistan.
This role will work under the supervision of Project Manager-Strengthening Participatory Local Governance in Oxfam Pakistan. Support the Project Manager in managing and implementing the project, ensuring the programme quality and donor compliance.
What Skills Are We Looking For
This position will be responsible to ensure effective implementation and delivery of the project activities and results. Work closely with the governance and fragility to contribute in strengthening Oxfam’s work on decentralization and local governance. We are expecting from this role to work closely with various inter-departmental functions for program management to ensure timely coordination and compliance around various stages in the Project Cycle Management. Prepare work plans, budget and resource allocations reports, field visit and monitoring reports. Moreover, to facilitate partner relationship in the light of Oxfam's partnership approach following procedural requirements and ensure the proper application of conditions related to the grant and donor guidelines.
