Job Description

“Children” is a not-for-profit organization affiliated to Children International, USA. The agency works towards fulfilling the educational and health needs of children from Delhi through promotive, preventive and basic curative health services, pre-school education, preventive and rehabilitative nutritional supplementary feeding, remedial education, library and IT education.
CHILDREN invites application for the position of Translator.

Overall Responsibilities:

The translator is responsible for translation of letters in the Sponsorship Relations Department. The Sponsorship Relations Department works towards strengthening the bond between the sponsor and the sponsored children through letters, photos and various reports. This is a part-time position based at Shahbad Daultapur, Delhi. Translation task will be done within the office premises of Children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translates letters from Hindi to English and from English to Hindi.
  • Maintain quality of translation.
  • Check the content of 100% letters.
  • Ensure timely delivery of translated letters.
  • Letters must be handled very carefully to avoid being torn or misplaced.
  • Perform other related duties as maybe assigned by Supervisors.

Specific Qualification and Job Skills:

  • Must be a graduate or higher from recognized university
  • Working experience of minimum 1 year desired
  • Good written and verbal English and Hindi communication skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook
