·       technical support to the Government of Morocco for the design of an action plan for regulatory convergence with EU norms and standards ;

·       methodological support to the Directorate of Regional Planning in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Angola ;

·       economic and financial analysis of the water sector and the water utilities in Guinea Bissau, including the coordination of an econometric study on water demand in the capital city;

·       design of comprehensive economic approaches to the sectors of water and sanitation, fisheries and environment in Algeria;

·       assessment of the functioning of public financial management, internal control and risk management systems in São Tomé e Príncipe, Algeria, Liberia, Nigeria and recommendations for improvement;

·       facilitation of consultative workshops on budgetary reforms, institutional and organizational development in Mali, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal;

·       socio-economic study on the prospects for the sustainable development of the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

·       evaluation of the functional capacity of the (now independent) Government of Southern Sudan and prioritization of capacity development interventions in the areas of policy-making, strategic planning and public financial management;

·       formulation of a multi-donor financial support package to the post-conflict transition in Nepal;

·       technical assistance to the set-up of a department of the Chadian Presidency dealing with socio-economic recovery in Eastern Chad;

·       development of a needs assessment, monitoring and evaluation framework in the Sudan and other post-conflict or fragile countries;

·       process facilitation support in the management of the Darfur peace negotiations;

·       field researcher in the Sudan on behalf of the Crisis Group, Brussels (an international public policy think-tank).
