KWAME OSIANG ADJEKUM is a financial/economic analyst and business development expert with over ten years experience. He holds an MBA in Finance and a BSc in Biological Sciences. He also participated in various training programmes and courses including Financial and economic analyst / business development consultant with in-depth experience from Deloitte and Touche, Guaranty Trust Bank, Association of Ghana Industries, Supra Telecom. Holds certifications in MBA Finance; Economic Analysis of Investments (World Bank); FAME Export Marketing Training for Business Support Organizations in developing Sector Export Marketing Plans, Business matchmaking and EU entry requirements (CBI, Netherlands and GEPA); MiDA/ACPC Training on Agric Credit Lending and Recovery Management; Harvard Management Essentials (Harvard Business School); International Players in Public Finance and Debt Management, Advanced Course in Capital Market Development & Regulation, Debt Rescheduling with the Paris Club, Negotiation of Financial Transactions (United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR)). Kwame has worked closely in the agricultural sector in general and pineapple sector in general. These include conducting research on the market potential of Ghanaian pineapples in the European market which involved field visits to the major pineapple producers within the country while working with Deloitte and Touche. He also spearheaded the agricultural credit to smallholder farmers of a notable and leading exporter of fresh pineapple Blue Sky Products Ghana Ltd. Kwame also worked as an independent consultant to the GIZ/Market Oriented Agriculture Programme (MOAP) where he led an evaluation of out-grower farmers vis-a-vis their ability and constraints to supply to a juice processor, developed a bankable business plan for the processor to increase capacity and established a long-term workable and mutually beneficial relationship between the processor and the smallholder farmers. He has been part of a team providing business development advisory services to processors. i.e. assisting processors and their suppliers including smallholder farmers to assess appropriate funding and enhancing vertical integration within the value chain. Beside these, Kwame has worked on various projects as Project Manager on Technology Improvement Programme for 8 plastic manufacturing companies, team member of a Business Process Improvement for 12 state institutions, management of a strategic business unit comprising exporters most of which were into agribusiness.
