Nayat Karim is a development and humanitarian practioner with over 25 years of experience securing funding for and designing, delivering, and monitoring of both long term development and humanitarian programs funded by institutional donors such as EU, ECHO, OFDA, US State Department, SDC, UN, KfW and DFID. Karim has a successful track record of driving through major strategic and operational projects from planning to implementation, completion and review; some of them in post conflict and complex operating environment both in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Karim has received a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Washington and has been a Fellow of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Population Leadership Program in 2004-2005. His native language is Wakhi; however, he speaks English and Urdu well; and has working knowledge of Dari.
