Detailed Description

Applications are now open for the Innovating Worthy Projects Foundation (IWPF) Grant Program to make all the children of the world HAPPY!

Innovating Worthy Projects Foundation was founded to provide financial Grants for structuring, developing or modifying special-needs children’s programs of organizations recognized as charities by the US Internal Revenue Service.

In 1963, with very little third party assistance, the Packers developed a small summer day camp program, in New Jersey, to provide for improving the lives of children having various disabilities.  Over the years, this grew into innovative, year round, multifaceted programs serving those with special needs from preschool through high school and beyond.

After achieving this success, in 1987, in an economy of stringent government funding cutbacks for quality special-needs programs, their Founders conceived the Innovating Worthy Projects Foundation to address the need for organization to provide financial help to quality special-needs children’s programs.  The Foundation makes grants to organizations dedicated to serving developing innovative programs, disseminating ideas, or providing direct care or services for children with special needs, acute illnesses or chronic disabilities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The Foundation donates only to organizations and not to individuals.  All applicant institutions must be qualified for exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and generally may not be “private foundations” as defined under Section 509(a) of the Code.  An agency or entity applying for funding must state whether it is a member of any branch of the Federal, or any State, County or local Municipal government.
