The Government of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and the United States of America African Development Foundation (USADF) invite cooperatives, producer organizations (POs) and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with innovative projects likely to sustainably strengthen the operational and organizational capacities, increase incomes, create jobs and improve access to markets for disadvantaged rural communities to submit grant applications to them (funding and technique).

Sectors

The subsidies will concern the following sectors and sectors of activity:

  • Cashew
  • Cocoa
  • The manioc
  • Rice
  • The use of renewable energies in agricultural equipment

Funding Information

  • The maximum grant amount is US$250,000

Selection Criteria

  • The organization must demonstrate that its members have managed to work together satisfactorily for at least 2 years and that it has a minimum of 200 active members or raw material suppliers;
  • Owners and managers must agree on the nature of the problem to be resolve and demonstrate a commitment beneficial to their communities;
  • The organization must have sound accounting and financial management and provide the statements certified financiers for the past two years;
  • The organization must demonstrate its capacity for reporting, organizational management, operational and efficient grant funds;
  • The capital of the organization must be 100% owned and managed by Africans;
  • The organization must be an agricultural cooperative, a group of producers, an SME processing and marketing agricultural products or operating in the renewable energy sector;
  • Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) are not affected by this announcement.
