Coastal Communities Challenge Fund

The Aberdeenshire Council launches new round of funding for coastal communities Challenge Fund (CCCF) programme.

Priorities

  • Supporting the development of active travel routes along, to and from the coastline
  • Developing the coastal economy and sustainable tourism
  • Creating or enhancing community, leisure and recreational facilities
  • Safeguarding, restoring or enhancing the coastal environment

Funding Information

  • Grants between £2,500 and £25,000 will be available, and applicants must make a minimum 10% match funding contribution to projects. Small business applicants must contribute 50% match funding.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply to the Coastal Communities Challenge Fund, the following criteria must be met:

Applications can be made by any of the following organisations:

  • SMEs (limited companies, partnerships or sole traders)
  • Public sector organisations
  • Co-operatives
  • Charities registered in Scotland
  • Constituted community groups
  • Individuals, unconstituted groups and political or campaigning groups are not eligible for funding. Religious groups will not be ordinarily eligible, unless broad community benefit can be demonstrated.

Applicants must provide the following as part of their application:

  • Constitution or memorandum and articles of association
  • A recent bank statement covering a period of 3 months
  • Most recent 3 years annual accounts
  • Organisational policies where relevant (e.g. equal opportunities, health & safety, child protection, environmental)
