The Top of the South Community Foundation makes grants available each year to local organisations working to make a positive difference across Nelson, Tasman, and Marlborough.
This allows groups more than one chance to apply and increases alignment between applicants’ work and the priorities of the Foundation’s donors.
The October grant round is currently open, offering funding of up to $10,000. Among the available grants are four multi-year grants. This particular round is aimed at community and charitable organisations supporting vulnerable and underprivileged families in Nelson Tasman.
Applicants are encouraged to review the grant criteria for each round to see what kind of funding is available, to use the application tips provided to strengthen their submissions, and then to apply online once they are ready.
In addition to its own funding rounds, the Foundation acts as a local distribution manager for The Tindall Foundation. The next grant round under this programme is expected to open in 2026.
This opportunity gives community groups a chance not only to access financial support, but also to plan ahead with clarity by knowing when grant rounds will occur and what the expectations are for successful applications.
