Applications for the Australian Embassy’s Direct Aid Program (DAP) are now open.
DAP is a small grants program that supports local communities to deliver direct, practical, and immediate projects that promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth and development. It is funded by the Australian Government and managed globally by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through its Embassies, High Commissions, and Consulates.
DAP funding is available on a not-for-profit basis to community groups, non-government organisations (NGO), research institutions, and other entities engaged in development activities. The Australian Embassy in Addis Ababa’s DAP program supports projects in Ethiopia, South Sudan, Djibouti, and the Central African Republic.

Eligibility Criteria
Not-for-profit organisations, including community groups, non-government organisations (NGOs), research institutions, and other entities engaged in development activities in Ethiopia, South Sudan, Djibouti, and the Central African Republic are eligible to apply.
Ineligible
Generally, the following activities would not be supported by DAP funds:
