CINI is an Indian NGO, regarded as one of the most influential institutions working for communities in India for nearly five decades. Now, CINI will be implementing ANAMAY Project for strengthening health and nutrition services for women, children, and adolescents in Udalguri Block of Udalguri District in Assam. Improve the overall health and nutritional well-being of mothers, children, and adolescents. A life cycle approach will be adopted with emphasis on capacity building of the community along with system strengthening. Importance will be given on early identification of high risk and nutrition risk conditions in pregnancy, markers of malnutrition in children, signs of anemia and low BMI among adolescents.

Purpose of the assignment
The proposed study will assess the current situation related to health and nutrition of women, children and adolescents in Udalguri Block of Udalguri district, Assam. The specific objectives of the study are:
To understand the knowledge and practices among pregnant and lactating women on health and nutrition during pregnancy and post-partum periods
To understand the knowledge and practices of the community on child health (including newborn care) and malnutrition among children (0-5 yrs)
To understand the awareness among adolescents on sexual reproductive health issues, participation in different decision-making platforms and raise issues on their rights & entitlements
To understand the engagement of communities and service providers like ANM, ASHA, AWW and local governments in addressing Health & Nutrition issues in the block
To understand the infrastructural gaps in the Health & Nutrition service delivery points
The study will be a combination of quantitative and qualitative findings to understand the situation in the specified time and geography on the quality of life (in terms of H&N) of women and children.
Specific task for the consultant/institution:
The consultant/ institution is required to conduct the study in Udalguri Block of Udalguri District in Assam and come up with the detailed baseline report. Detailed task in this respect includes:
Literature Review
Designing the Study Methodology
Selection of Sample
Designing of tool for data collection
Data Collection
Analysis of data
Preparation of ppt on the findings in Assamese and English and presentation to CINI Management
Preparation and submission of study report in printable version in Assamese and English Language.
Required Qualification and Experience of the Consultancy Firm
The consultant /consultancy firm will be required to have:
Preferred 8 and above years of experience working in similar field
Extensive experience in conducting Baseline/evaluation Study
Duration of the assignment
The assignment is expected to take 30 days from the date of signing the contract

Terms & Reference
20% Payment will be released on signing of the TOR
25% Payment will be released after data collection
25% Payment will be released after presentation of the findings to CINI Management
Remaining 30% payment will be released after submission of final report
A relaxation of 5 working days can be considered for final submission of the Baseline Report beyond the stipulated duration as indicated in the timeline of the assignment. A further delay would incur a penalty of 5% for next 5 days as indicated in the timeline of the assignment and 10% for another 10 days as indicated in the timeline of this assignment
Payment will be released through A/c payee cheque/ NEFT.
