Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (“KREDL”) incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 is a nodal agency of the Government of Karnataka (“GoK”) to facilitate the development of renewable energy in Karnataka. KREDL processes all applications received for setting up of renewable energy generating plants and based on the recommendation, GoK approves and grants rights to such independent power producers to set up their generation plants in Karnataka. Subsequently, KREDL also monitors progress of various renewable energy projects in Karnataka.
About the Proposal
KREDL intends to set up a Skill Development Centre at KREDL building, Nagarabhavi, Bengaluru. The objective of Skill Development Programme of KREDL is to develop the skills to youth, considering the opportunities for employment in the growing Solar & Wind Energy sector for installation/operation & maintenance.
Skill Development training program of KREDL aims to impart training to 10th pass with ITI/Diploma candidates in the following job roles of Solar & Wind sector as per Qualification packs specified in Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ):

Preferable Qualification for the candidates to enroll for the Skill Development program of KREDL: The candidate should be 10th pass with ITI/Diploma (Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Mechanical, Fitter, Instrumentation, Welder) and age not below 18 years and not above 35years. The trainee should have certificate of ITI or diploma in any branch of Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Civil. Experience in certified electrician may also be preferred. Candidates who are trained under the training programme of National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE)/National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) or any training institutes funded by NISE/State or Central Govt. for the job roles specified in 1.2 shall not be eligible under this skill development program of KREDL. Candidates with higher qualifications like degree in any discipline or higher are strictly not eligible.
Assessment: At the end of the course, assessment shall be carried out through third party agency as per directions of NSDC/KSDC (National Skill Development Corporation/Karnataka Skill Development Corporation) and certificates shall be issued by Skill Council of Green Jobs for successful candidates.

KREDL Invites response document to this Expression of Interest for the selection of Project Management Consultant for imparting training to SSLC+ITI/Diploma candidates under “Skill Development Progamme”(Non-Residential Training Programme) of KREDL as per qualification packs of SCGJ for below job roles.

The continuity of Project Management Consultant in the second year shall be based on the review of performance of PMC for the 1st year from the date of issue of letter of Work award. KREDL reserves the right to continue or discontinue the Skill development programme in the subsequent years.
