Born This Way Foundation and Cotton On Foundation are inviting young people to tell them about organizations supporting youth mental health in their country.

Born This Way Foundation aims to support organizations that are directly addressing the emerging and changing mental health needs of young people in various countries.

Funding Information

The Born This Way Foundation and Cotton On Foundation are teaming up to award Kindness in Community Fund grants of up to $150,000 to community organizations that directly address youth mental health.

Eligible Countries

Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Eligibility Criteria

  • This Way Foundation and Cotton On Foundation request nominations from young people themselves of tax-exempt organizations, non-profits, NGOs and similar types of organizations based in the above listed nine countries that are focused on mental wellness and:
  • are informed and/or led by young people,
  • are rooted in practices of community, inclusion, and equity at all levels, and
  • provide free and accessible mental health resources.
  • The KiC Fund is a collaboration between Born This Way Foundation and Cotton On Foundation, but it is open to organizations beyond those associated with Cotton On Foundation.
  • They’re especially eager to receive nominations from young people between 15-24 years old about the local mental health organizations making a difference in their communities, and they will place greater weight on the nominations they submit.
