United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders that, provide the technical, capacity development and research expertise to implement the project ‘Improving the Support and Participation of Teachers in LEGs’.
In particular, the required expertise will contribute to identify and disseminate innovative approaches to in-service professional development for teachers’ effective participation in social dialogue leading to teacher policy reforms (e.g. professional status (contract teachers), deployment, remuneration, and working conditions) in eight countries of which the majority are in Africa. Expected outputs include a comparative analysis of data by which outcomes and trends relevant to national frameworks of in-service professional development are identified and reported upon; designing and implementing knowledge sharing and capacity development activities in six countries followed by six corresponding reports including national roadmaps for action followed by a cross-analysis and reporting of such proposals; developing learning/support material in the shape of toolkits targeting teacher unions and government officials with relevance to teacher policy in six countries.
The purpose of this notice is to provide general information on the requirements for the procurement process and to inform interested suppliers how to obtain a copy of the Solicitation Documents.
Interested companies who wish to participate in the OIC must request for a complete set of Solicitation Documents, available free of charge, from UNESCO contact person at the address shown below.
The sealed tenders must be delivered to the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris as per RFP instructions on or before 26/05/2016 at 12:00 am hours, in strict compliance with the instructions as stipulated in the Solicitation Documents.
UNESCO reserves the right to amend the documents at any time during the solicitation process.
Any amendments or clarifications will be communicated directly to all Bidders who have requested for a complete set of solicitation documents and officially confirmed their intention to submit a sealed tender. No remuneration will be made to companies for preparation and submission of their tenders.
