Thinking of a Career in Emergency Management?
- BY Nicole Pelette
As Advocacy Lead, you will be a senior team member who will shape our advocacy strategy and put soul into our communications, taking our impact stories to a global audience. As a self-starter, you will work independently and manage a small team. Working alongside iProbono leadership, you will be a key player in realising our mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
You will be a natural storyteller – a prolific writer with a flair for words and a creative, organised outlook. Outstanding oral and written communication skills go without saying. Tenacity, persistence, positivity and a never-say-die attitude are vital characteristics for achieving real success in this role. Most importantly, you will have a deep commitment to human rights, the rule of law and ensuring justice for our clients.
Possessing a minimum of seven years of relevant experience, you will have the ability to produce a range of advocacy and communications materials for a variety of audiences. Ideally, you will have some understanding of the Indian legal system from the trial courts to the Supreme Court. In addition, it is an asset to have experience of working with a diverse range of actors from different backgrounds and cultures, including civil society organisations, low-income clients, media, lawyers, government and policy-makers.
