Purpose
The Agroforestry Expert will responsible for implementation, and monitoring of agroforestry and regenerative agriculture initiatives across projects. The role aims to strengthen climate-resilient farming systems, enhance farmer incomes, and promote sustainable land-use models through integrated agroforestry interventions.

Responsibilities
Project Design & Planning
Design agroforestry models suited to local agro-climatic zones. Develop plantation strategies integrating horticulture, and crops. Prepare DPRs, implementation plans, and technical guidelines.
Implementation & Field Coordination
Supervise field implementation of agroforestry projects. Provide technical support to field teams, SHGs, and community institutions. Ensure plantation survival and quality standards.
Capacity Building & Training
Conduct farmer trainings on agroforestry models, regenerative practices, soil health, and water conservation. Develop IEC materials and technical manuals.
Monitoring & Evaluation
Develop monitoring frameworks for survival rate, yield impact, carbon sequestration potential, and livelihood enhancement. Prepare progress reports and impact assessments.
Convergence & Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with Forest Department, Agriculture Department, NGOs, and CSR partners.
Digital Integration
Support integration of agroforestry modules in digital advisory platforms. Contribute to AI-based decision support systems for crop-tree models.

Skill Category

Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of agroforestry systems, tree-crop integration, regenerative agriculture, soil health management, and climate-smart agriculture.
Project Management
Experience in working and implementing large-scale plantation or livelihood projects. Familiarity with government schemes and convergence models.
