Job Description

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.

Do you have a degree or at least 5 years of professional experience ?

Do you have excellent reporting writing and data analysis skills ?

Do you have excellent command of the English language (oral and written) ?

If the answer is yes, then would like to hear from you.

The Role

The Anti-Corruption Team (ACT) is seeking a case coordinator.

As an anti-corruption case coordinator, your principal task would be to act as the focal point for cases of corruption reported to Oxfam and to conduct the initial assessment, triage and allocation of these cases.

You will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders in assessing risk and producing high quality qualitative and quantitative reports; and support regional investigators.

What we are looking for

You may have already fulfilled this type of role within the private, public or third sector. You may however have professional experience from a related field and are now interested in pursuing a career in internal investigations such as Safeguarding, counter-fraud or anti-corruption – and in an international setting. A high degree of discretion and confidentiality will be essential as you will be handling large volumes of sensitive information. You will have an understanding of risk and have demonstrated good judgement in handling sensitive information. We would be particularly interested in hearing from those with previous experience of case management, whistleblowing or handling other human intelligence.

You will have experience of data analysis and producing high quality reports in a range of formats, often under tight deadlines. You will be required to produce annual, quarterly and ad hoc reports on anti-corruption data for the organisation. You will have excellent attention to detail and report writing/editing skills as you will be required to assist in the proof reading of investigation reports.

You will be a self-starter and have excellent attention to detail with the energy required to work under pressure and set up new ways of working.

Working closely with the Head of Anti-Corruption Response, you will assist them in ensuring corruption investigations are responded to effectively and in the effective administration of the team. This role sits at the heart of the ACT and will require excellent team working, communication skills and enthusiasm in order to work closely with your colleagues both in the UK and other parts of the world.

We offer

Oxfam is determined to ensure its work is carried out with integrity and to support those most in need. Corruption in the humanitarian sector diverts resources from where they are most needed, it props up corrupt systems thereby undermining Oxfam’s mission to eliminate poverty, and it reduces confidence in the sector as a whole.

This role sits at the heart of Oxfam’s anti-corruption team where you will play an integral role in the organisation’s anti-corruption response. You will gain knowledge of a wide range of corruption risks facing INGOs, have exposure to anti-corruption methods and areas of work including whistleblowing, risk management and investigations; and work in a fast paced, dynamic and internationally focussed environment.

Our values and commitment to safeguarding

Oxfam is committed to preventing any type of unwanted behaviour at work including sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse, lack of integrity and financial misconduct; and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults. Oxfam expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment through our code of conduct. We place a high priority on ensuring that only those who share and demonstrate our values are recruited to work for us.

We are committed to ensuring diversity and gender equality within our organisation and encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply.

Note: All offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and appropriate screening checks, which can include criminal records and terrorism finance checks.

Please note interested candidates must already have right to work & reside in the UK in order to apply for the role.
