The Advancing Universal Rights and Justice (AURJ) Initiative aims to uproot fundamentalisms and fascisms – to promote the universality and indivisibility of rights, advance women’s rights and feminist agendas and challenge fundamentalist and fascist influences and actors.

The Advancing Universal Rights and Justice (AURJ) Initiative aims to uproot fundamentalisms and fascisms – to promote the universality and indivisibility of rights, advance women’s rights and feminist agendas and challenge fundamentalist and fascist influences and actors.

AURJ hosts three main projects:

The Observatory on the Universality of Rights (OURs) - a multi-organizational initiative that aims to monitor, analyze, share information and engage in collaborative advocacy to counter initiatives that misuse religion, culture, and tradition to undermine the universality of human rights;
Building at the Faultlines - a project which focuses on key rifts amongst and between movements that have hampered collective action, i.e. ‘faultlines’, and which aims to foster open conversation on the faultlines to move towards more holistic, intersectional advocacy agendas that do no harm, and that bolster collective power
FF Inc – a project which aims to explore and uncover the connections between fundamentalist and fascist agendas and corporate power and their role in upholding patriarchy, with a particular focus on flows of financing and funding
