UNICEF GSSC is looking for a Team Lead as the Business Analyst, for the Business Process Innovation (BPI) team who would be responsible for the leadership, coordination, and oversight of the Business Innovation function to bring efficiency to end-to-end processes using LEAN methodologies. Streamline project deliveries which in turn contribute to strengthening the operation of the Organization enhancing the ability of UNICEF to continue to provide services for mothers and children promoting greater social equity around the world.

Key functions, accountabilities, and related tasks:

People Management:

  • Lead and coordinate the highly specialized BPI team to ensure achievement of their performance targets.
  • Provide managerial support, feedback, and ensure that suitable capacity and skills are available to meet project requirements.
  • Lead and develop staff through coaching, mentoring and engagement.
  • Promote delivery excellence and a vision for the BPI role.
  • Support a culture of honest and continuous feedback and performance management.
  • Strategic Business Innovation
  • Partner with HQ Divisions, Regional and Country Offices to identify areas for business improvement with high benefit for the Organization.
  • Perform essential functions for integrating analytics capabilities in the Section’s work. This will include supporting processes of defining business problems, guiding technical teams in the creation of analytics-driven solutions which are then integrated in business operations.
  • Recommend solutions for business improvement using the most appropriate tools and methodologies.
  • Keep abreast, research, benchmark, and implement best and cutting-edge practices in HR, Finance, Payroll, and other business areas.
  • Project implementation
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Office for status reporting and project delivery.
  • Lead the workplan definition for the BPI team and prioritize projects in collaboration with other stakeholders.
  • Moderate project discussions for a quick and smooth resolution of potential bottlenecks.

Education:

  • An Advanced University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or another related field is required. A first University combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional experience working in in Business process improvement
  • Advanced knowledge in the Microsoft 365 Products (including MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint) is required.
  • Strong data analytical skills is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Work experience with UN or an international organization is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ERP SAP and/or ServiceNow systems is highly desirable.
  • Work experience in Shared Service Centre context is an asset.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and spoken) required
  • Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish), or local language of the duty station, is considered an asset
