We are looking for a motivated individual to support the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) team in the Climate Action and Inclusive Development (CAID) unit to support business development and product design for expansion efforts of the team and its services.
This internship is expected to be particularly beneficial for candidates who seek early-stage development in the area of business development or product management, in the intersection of public and private sector, such as green business, green finance or “ESG” implementation.
Under direct supervision of the Senior Officer, Green Growth Knowledge Partnership, the intern will perform the following tasks:
Identify potential and existing client needs and value proposition for business expansion or new product development
Carry out market research, such as market sizing, market structure, customer analysis and impact potential
Track progress of new and existing services and identify areas for improvement
Draft and provide inputs to concept notes, publications, PowerPoint slides and other informational materials and proposals
Identify, collect, summarise and post knowledge resources including research publications, case studies, impact stories and multimedia from partners and other established sources (universal task for all interns in the team)
Eligibility :
To be eligible for an internship, candidates must:
Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (ideally in final year), Master’s or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
Possess an excellent command of English.
Qualification:
Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year), Master’s or PhD program or a recent graduate within the last 12 months in business, economics, finance, international studies or a related field preferred.
Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn various topics of sustainable development.
Excellent English communication skills, particularly writing and/or editing experience in one or more fields related to green growth or international topics in professional context. Working level familiarity with other UN working languages or languages of GGGI member countries is not expected but would be a plus.
Proven computer literacy in standard office software applications, as well as willingness to learn new tools.
Good interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds and timezones.
