The Role

This is a temporary Maternity cover role supporting the Buying and Quality and Technical team in all aspects of developing the Source by Oxfam range and ensuring that our products meet our ethical and quality standards.

You will work with the buying team to support them to develop product that will work well both in store and online. Providing administrative support to the buying team working with the technical advisor and liaising with suppliers to ensure they are kept informed of technical requirements, sales data and keep to deadlines this is an important role to ensure our 2020 range are developed and delivered to our requirements.

What we are looking for

An organised individual who enjoys a varied workload and is confident working with internal and external teams at a variety of levels. Attention to detail is of the essence as is the ability to understand and clearly communicate specific varied product requirements and ensure that information is communicated in a timely manner.

  • This role will give you an opportunity to work within the Sourced by Oxfam Buying team and support them to build the 2020 range of ethically sourced printed, home-wares and gift products.
  • You will support the team through the Range development process and work with a group of passionate people that are specialists in ethical buying, you will gain knowledge of product technical and quality standards and experience of working in a buying office which focuses on a sustainable and ethical approach to product range selection as well as the knowledge that you are contributing to Oxfam’s wider Humanitarian objectives of ending poverty.
