Reporting to the Chair and to the Board, the Chief Executive will be responsible for providing strategic and high level operational leadership in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organisation as approved by the Board. The appointee will ensure the sustainable growth and development of GOAL’s activities and ensure that the organisation’s principal interventions are of continuing high quality, adequately funded and their impact widely disseminated.
Candidates will have strong strategic and operational excellence capabilities and a proven leadership track record in organisations of relevant scale and complexity operating across multiple international jurisdictions. He/she will ideally have experience in the international aid and development sector and will have a deep appreciation and knowledge of global humanitarian issues and trends. With exposure to leading edge fundraising strategies and strong change management skills, the Chief Executive will have the capacity to represent GOAL on humanitarian aid issues and to work with the Board in the development of GOAL’s objectives worldwide.
This is a key appointment for GOAL where the new Chief Executive will have the opportunity to lead the organisation’s next phase of development as it seeks to make ever greater impacts on its mission worldwide.
