Current Hiring Practices and Trends in the Development Sector
- BY David Mackenzie
VSO is the world's leading development organisation that works through volunteers to fight poverty. We are unique in the way we bring people together to share their skills and experience, generate insights and ideas and, most of all, take action against poverty and exclusion. It's a highly effective approach that works, and today is helping millions of people in some of the world's poorest communities lift themselves out of poverty.
We are looking for a Communications Officer (Internal Communications) to support VSO’s communications internally and with volunteers. This will include working with staff across VSO to shape and deliver VSO’s overall internal communications strategy for internal audiences and volunteers. The successful candidate will work with the staff and leadership across VSO to deliver ad-hoc communications that meet the immediate and short-term needs of the organisation as it reacts, responds to and shapes events.
