Job Description

It currently works in 70 countries and has more than 9,000 employees, of which 80% work directly in cooperation programs, and more than 60,000 volunteers who contribute to meeting the organization's objectives. Plan International carries out projects in 50 developing countries that directly benefit 83.9 million boys and girls. Since 1994 in Nicaragua we have promoted the rights to health, education, protection and economic security of girls, boys, adolescents and young people in vulnerable situations. During these 24 years we have sponsored more than 75 thousand girls and boys.

Knowledge, skills, conduct and experience required:

The occupant of this position must be a graduate of engineering, social sciences and / or administration or related specialties. You must have relevant knowledge and experience in the fields described below:

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in Non-Governmental Organizations
  • Management of facilitation techniques for development processes at the community level.
  • Work experience with childhood
  • Coordination with community leadership
  • Preparation of technical reports, action plans and monitoring and control instruments.
  • Rights of the Child, Human Rights, gender and protection of children
  • Be willing to travel
  • Reside in the department, project implementation area
  • Knowing the methodology of Friendly Spaces will be a plus.

Job specific skills:

  • Fluent oral and written communication of the Miskitu language.
  • Teamwork.
  • Creativity and initiative for problem solving and decision making.
  • Management of playful methodologies and facilitation techniques with different target groups (which do not reinforce traditional gender roles).
  • Motorcycle driving (with a valid driver's license).
  • Office package management.
