Data Analyst will work to advance research on the spatial dynamics of diet quality and markets flows and their potential interlinkages.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
Develop novel analytics to better understand spatial and temporal dynamics of diet quality and market flows, using high-frequency data.
Advance research on how market, climatic, and infrastructure interlinkages influence dietary patterns.
Collaborate with colleagues in other CGIAR centres and partner organisations to coordinate global research and align objectives to improve understanding on the implications for analysis on market and diet research.
Contribute to discussions with government and non-governmental organisations on the implications of research.
Support training workshops with colleagues and partner organisations to improve data science literacy.
Assist in data analytics for IITA Rwanda projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, or related field and demonstrated experience of at least 3 years, Masters is an added advantage
Experience in advanced data analytics, preferably with temporal and spatial data.
Extensive knowledge of R/Python programming.
Proficient in developing communication materials, for example with Markdown, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
Experience working in an international context interacting with multi-disciplinary stakeholders is desirable.
