The number of suppliers (Face to Face Agencies, Call Centers, Online Payment Gateways, etc.) doing donor acquisition has increased in numbers with a subsequent growing complexity in terms of database management. The inclusion of security measures in hand with new standards required by UNICEF made these processes even more sophisticated.

The payment processes for local fundraising purposes also increased in the last 5 years, which makes more demanding and diverse the bank/credit card transaction activities.

How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the Fundraising Officer (Database), the Data Base Associate (BI) primary responsibility will be to work with Individual Giving team to provide data analytics and reporting to the various types of information related to donor data, such as fulfilment rates by channel, effectivity of payment methods, return of investment and campaigns’ results among others. This includes implementing solutions for optimizing and automating existing reporting as well as leveraging tools such as SQL, Power BI or Tableau to create and monitor the key performance indicators and operational metrics. Data Base Associate (BI) will also attend specific demands or exceptions related to the automatic processes generated by active donors, that contributes to the country office Individual Giving Program, which operates with a high diversification of channels and means of payment. The staff member also acts as a  translator between technical and non-technical stakeholders to help them make use of the data in terms that they understand.

  • Development of dashboards and reports requested by the Individual Giving area for strategic decision making using PBI, SQL, and DAX knowledge.
  • Analyze raw data, dashboards and reports, perform complex quantitative analysis, assess risk and convert it into actionable business goals.
  • Translate the data into insights once it’s analyzed and present it for key members of the team to understand in a meaningful and comprehensive manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to bring ideas to achieve, set benchmarks, assess risks, and coordinate solutions with Individual Giving strategies.
  • Provide individual team members with the knowledge and resources to independently understand metrics and make informed decisions.
  • Support to identify critical points in the processes already implemented, through recurrent analysis, aiming constant improvements of the processes/systems and help to adapt them to what is most appropriate for the area.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education (High School) is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the field of work in computer sciences or database analysis. Alternatively, completion of a bachelor's degree may replace some of the required years of experience, that is if the candidate has this level of degree he/she may be considered if their relevant experience sums four years.
  • A minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in business intelligence reporting or analytics and proven skills in developing real-time analysis reporting using data visualization tools. 
  • Fluency in Spanish. 
  • An intermediate level of English
