Job Description

The Opportunity

Save the Children international are currently hiring a Data Protection Analyst for our office in central London, on a 2-year fixed term contract.

As Data Protection Analyst, you will work with the Head of Data Protection (HoDP) and Data Protection Officer (DPO) in supporting multiple process stakeholders across multiple teams to ensure that there is a single, end-to-end view of all business processes, including the interactions with teams, systems and third parties. You will help drive a Data Protection culture throughout the organisation and be responsible for providing guidance to the business and coordinating activities concerning privacy matters.

Where required, the role will also support participating Save the Children Member Organisations to achieve the same.

In order to be successful you will bring/have: 

  • Sound knowledge of EU and UK Data Protection Legislation
  • At least two years of experience working with process analysis and documentation in a privacy programme or project environment.
  • Knowledge of business process documentation, developing policies and defining best practice.
  • Understanding of information technologies and data security.
  • Demonstrable experience of investigating data breaches and advising the business in relation to data protection requirements.
  • Ability to work with a range of business stakeholders to understand and articulate their activities in line with defined standards.
  • Degree, diploma or certification in data protection and/or information governance.
  • We are offering a base salary in the range of £36,000 to £40,000 in addition to a full benefits package and 30-days of annual leave plus public holidays.
