Are you motivated by the chance of working with data, that helps Danish Refugee Council meet the needs of refugees and displacement affected communities? Do you wish to acquire relevant skills for an international career by joining a leading international organization? Then we have an offer you should know about.
Data driven progress in DRC
To meet the needs of the people we serve, we are exploring new, innovative ways of using data to guide our work, planning and strategies. We are therefore working on integrating predictive analytics, big data and machine learning models in our operations. In partnership with IBM, we are developing a prototype for forecasting forced displacement. We are looking to expand this model to today’s most prominent displacement contexts and develop new types of predictive analysis in different settings.
Data-driven decision making and programming is a core priority of the organization, and you’ll be part of a team that engaged in multiple initiatives to meet this ambition.
Valuable work experience
The role as Intern will give you an opportunity to get to know one of the world’s best rated NGOs and work independently with tasks related to big data, machine learning and algorithms. You will support your dedicated colleagues in the small Business Partnership team, while gaining valuable working experience that spans both the humanitarian, development and private sector. You will support exploration of new avenues for using big data, support data curation and imputation, design codes and models, as well as communication of data-driven insights to various stakeholders in the organization.
