Position: Deputy Director Arts India
Challenges & Accountabilities:
- Deputy Director Arts will work to manage delivery of the strategic arts programmes in India, reflecting country priorities in terms of geography, partners, audiences, and art forms
- Communicate with multiple stakeholders internally and externally
- Support the India and South Asia regional team in programme based planning, leading country staff through the project documentation to approvals process
- Ensure that the programme is managed to the highest standards, with appropriate operational plans, Financial control, M&E, Business Development and MarComms
- Manage working together across the UK and India Arts colleagues and cities
- Seek delivery support from Cultural Engagement and business support functions to ensure programmes are of a high-quality and designed to produce impact
- Cultivate a compliance culture to ensure that operational procedures are followed, risk is managed and programmes meet funding criteria
- Design systems for data capture and analysis to a) demonstrate impact and success b) identify risk and c) ensure audit compliance
Requirements:
- Experience and awareness of India culture and British Asian sectors
- Leadership of a mid to large-scale international programme including digital projects
- Demonstrable commitment to Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion
- Experience of managing publicly funded programmes or high-value contracts and managing complex senior relationships
- Experience of managing dispersed teams or projects taking place in multiple locations
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage compliance processes and work at pace and meet deadlines
