Job Description

Maternity cover, Fixed Term up to 12 months, beginning July 2016, Part Time 0.8 FTE

As the Digital Content Editor, you will play a key role in helping us shape the discourse by managing the Oxfam Policy & Practice blog, supporting social media and helping to implement communication strategies aimed at reaching a broad professional and practitioner audience.

Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, the role offers a varied set of duties including: writing, editing, commissioning, developing editorial schedules, graphic work for social media and website work.

This would suit someone who is passionate about Oxfam’s programme and humanitarian work, and believes in the sharing of knowledge to better practice. By helping us to shape stories, find content and think creatively about how to share our work with the sector, you’ll be at the heart of Oxfam’s efforts to be a thought leader in the sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong English language editing skills, digital skills, interpersonal skills and an eye for a good story.

For this role we are open to discussing location preferences with any suitable candidates, ideally the role will be based in an Oxfam office.
