Job Description

Job Purpose: The use of digital channels to drive brand awareness, engagement and conversions is key to Concern Worldwide’s communications and fundraising efforts. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting Concern’s internal teams in delivering effective organic and paid marketing campaigns across a range of digital channels, including social media, email and search platforms.

The role will involve contributing to the strategy, technical implementation, performance optimisation and analysis of digital marketing activities, as well as community management and moderation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with Concern’s fundraising and communications teams to optimise paid digital marketing campaigns to drive revenue
  • Support in-house teams on organic and paid digital marketing across multiple platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement
  • Oversee community management and moderation for Concern’s digital marketing campaigns, ensuring swift and effective engagement with supporters
  • Use audience insights and remarketing to increase performance and ROI of Concern’s social media campaigns
  • Play a key role in driving the ongoing growth and engagement of Concern’s social media community
  • Build online visibility for Concern by driving SEO and SEM performance in key areas
  • Measure and evaluate campaigns, delivering on KPIs as set out in the overall strategy
  • Provide creative direction to in-house teams and agencies to ensure innovation and impact in Concern’s digital marketing
  • Use data and analytics to provide recommendations to in-house teams in optimising campaign performance
  • Monitor trends in digital marketing and advise on tactics to engage with new and existing audiences
  • Produce copy and multimedia assets for social media campaigns, with graphic design/video editing experience an advantage
  • Ensure that all content conforms with Concern’s ethical, editorial and branding guidelines, and helps deliver on our digital strategy and objectives
  • Participate in the timely delivery of the content team’s emergency response strategy as required (this requires occasional work out-of-hours)

Skills and experience required:


  • At least three years experience in managing creative and technical implementation of organic and paid digital marketing activity
  • Experience in managing revenue-generating campaigns on social media platforms (preferably fundraising)
  • Excellent copywriting skills, with a high degree of attention to detail and knowledge of social audiences
  • Experience in email marketing, SEM, SEO, social media and online community management - including use of Facebook Ads Manager, Facebook Pixel and Google Ads Manager
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to prioritise workload in order to meet constant deadlines and targets
  • Capable of building good working relationships at all levels of operations and a good degree of flexibility, diplomacy and integrity
  • Positive, creative problem-solver and a can-do attitude
